“The Israeli soldiers are as good,” says entrepreneur Doron Amir. “I used to be a fighter in the Israeli army and led an operation to rescue soldiers under fire. However, in my civilian life, I was a partner in high-tech employment projects and trained generations of programmers. My values and those of others in the cyber world are no less than those on the battlefield. Good values and foundations come from a person’s actions.”

Amir fights to lead a fundamental change in order to encourage more and more manpower, including women and men alike, into the Cyber field: “Without Cyber experts, we are in complete darkness.”

Dedicated App “CyTaka”

In order to develop and increase the manpower in Cyber, the CyTaka platform allows anyone to download the app and start answering questions from the field of information security, software, and Cyber. CyTaka’s unique platform knows how to analyze and build a Cyber profile based on proving skills to every user in the app and at every level, including providing tools and the opportunity to improve knowledge as well as finding work in the field.

The best, ie. those who prove to be the best and appear at the top of the contestants’ table on the app, receive invitations to a live competition event where they are required to compete with Cyber missions in a style called CTF (Capture The Flag), including the possibility of winning cash prizes. Cyber champions include Matan Algrassi, Tal Shachar, and Eitan Nargassi, who won $25,000 each.

The cyber competition along with the app also allows both women and men to demonstrate software and cyber skills. In the last event held in December 2021, 30 percent of the competitors were women. One of them, named Adi Arbiv won a cash prize and got a job in the field within 24 hours from the end of the competition.

Without Cyber there is no high-tech

The shortage of Cyber manpower is intensifying, and there is the impression that the discussion regarding the “Best in Cyber” is far from over. At an international level, we live under the constant threat of security breaches and data leaks that can violate both privacy and business resilience. Almost every field in modern society has become computerized, making us more and more vulnerable. Therefore, without a quality cyber community that protects us, it will be very difficult to deal with the Cyber damages that occur every day and everywhere in the world.

The ordinary citizen is under attack on a daily basis. That’s the reason CyTaka not only produces Cyber competitions and a Cyber training App, it mainly focuses on establishing a community of software and Cyber experts who work together and share the information which helps the world to be a safer place.

With the warm and encouraging response from the Israeli Chief of the General Staff Aviv Kochavi’s regarding our billboard sign “The Best in Cyber” we placed in Herzliya – I can only say that Kochavi is an extraordinary Chief of Staff with tremendous influence, not only in the Middle East but also in terms of security for all Israelis.

Lastly and most importantly, the Cyber field is much more important than most people think. Without Cyber there is no high-tech, and without high-tech, there is no modern country. The slogan “The Best in Cyber” intends to convey a message of empowerment for Israeli society. Priority must be given to education, academia, industry, and producing as many Cyber geniuses and software people who together become a national asset for the State of Israel.
