This was just over a week before the Black Saturday that divided our lives into two &#8211; before October 7, and after.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the days following the initial shock and amidst the heavy mourning, we debated in the editorial staff whether to hold the project this year at all. Young people who have proven, even in this difficult time, how much initiative, talent and ability are rare resources &#8211; and how blessed we are with them here in Israel. Like the pair of young women who built from scratch a project that, from the very first days of the war, moved tons of equipment and food to thousands of soldiers and evacuated families; or the producer who left a promising career in Hollywood and became a prominent advocate for Israel; or the travel blogger who circled the world in 80 days and returned to volunteer as a spokesperson for Kibbutz Nir Oz.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center has-vivid-red-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-412da35b533c2ce7236617797ca6924d\"><a href=\"https:\/\/forbes.co.il\/e\/rankings\/2024-under-30\/\"><strong>FORBES 30 UNDER 30 2024 &#8211; THE COMPLETE LIST<\/strong><\/a><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside them, we discovered many more inspiring stories that distill the Israeli spirit: the pair of entrepreneurs who won the Israel Security Award for their contribution to state security and this year completed a funding round of tens of millions of dollars, or the journalist who grew up in a Muslim home in East Jerusalem and during the war found himself mediating the complex reality to millions of viewers at home.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In such a difficult and challenging year, these young people prove every day why, despite everything, it&#8217;s possible &#8211; and necessary &#8211; to remain optimistic about life here.
