And according to Kobi Samboursky, Co-founder of Glilot Capital Partners, the battlefield is being completely redrawn by artificial intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cCyber has always been the gift that keeps on giving,\u201d Kobi told me. \u201cEvery new technological wave\u2014cloud, SaaS, now AI\u2014creates entirely new classes of threats. But this time, AI is not just another wave. Because if cyber used to evolve linearly, AI is accelerating the curve into exponential territory\u2014reshaping not only the threat landscape, but also how investors, entrepreneurs, and defenders must think about strategy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For us in Glilot, Cyber was always a great area to invest in, but now, we are in a Perfect Storm, in which three big waves are peaking at the same time: the need for Cyber security is at its peak, at the same time AI is transforming it completely. The third element is the Israeli ecosystem which is peaking now. I am positive that in the next few years multiple great Cyber &amp; AI companies will emerge from Israel. Some will dominate new categories and some will displace incumbents that will not adapt to the new AI era.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. The Barrier to Entry for Attackers Has Collapsed<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The first and most urgent change Kobi sees is who can now launch sophisticated attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWith AI, even small and inexperienced groups can execute precise, high-impact attacks,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That insight mirrors what we\u2019re seeing at Clarity: deepfakes, phishing, and social engineering attacks once reserved for nation-state actors are now being run by script kiddies. AI has democratized offense. And defenders who still rely on old assumptions\u2014like knowing your adversary\u2019s profile\u2014are already behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Cybersecurity Teams Can\u2019t Keep Up\u2014And Shouldn\u2019t Try<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kobi didn\u2019t mince words when talking about the operational reality for modern security teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cImagine facing a million alerts a day. No human team can manage that effectively,\u201d he said. \u201cAI isn\u2019t just a convenience\u2014it\u2019s an operational necessity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u2019s a shift from dashboards to decisions. From alerts to actions. At Clarity, we\u2019re seeing the same pattern: CISOs no longer want more visibility\u2014they want automation that acts on their behalf.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. We\u2019re Not Just Fixing Problems\u2014We\u2019re Redefining Them<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most exciting part of this transformation, in Kobi\u2019s view, is the opportunity to rethink fundamentals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cAI lets us revisit old problems with new eyes,\u201d he said. \u201cOutdated solutions can be turned into powerful defenses when AI reframes the approach.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That insight reflects Glilot\u2019s broader strategy: to invest in startups not just building better tools\u2014but building the <em>next generation of security primitives<\/em>. AI-native, autonomous, integrated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Final Takeaway: This Shift Isn\u2019t Optional<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perhaps the strongest statement Kobi made during our conversation was this:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis shift isn\u2019t optional\u2014organizations must embrace AI or remain vulnerable.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And he\u2019s right. The cyber winners of the next decade won\u2019t be the ones who iterate fastest on legacy. They\u2019ll be the ones who bet early\u2014and boldly\u2014on AI as the foundation of their security stack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The role of the investor, in Kobi\u2019s mind, is not just to fund the transition\u2014but to help drive it. Glilot isn\u2019t just backing startups. It\u2019s helping architect the future of cyber itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In an era where threat actors move at the speed of tokens and APIs, only AI can keep up.
