Funding rounds are closing quickly, teams can double in quarters, and products ship before the market has time to catch its breath.\u00a0But for Niv Braun, co-founder and CEO of AI security company Noma Security, the real challenge isn\u2019t how fast a company grows, but about it\u2019s what breaks when it does.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-spotify wp-block-embed-spotify wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Spotify Embed: How Noma Security Engineers Culture for Hypergrowth in the AI Era - #0041, Niv Braun\" style=\"border-radius: 12px\" width=\"624\" height=\"351\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen allow=\"autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; fullscreen; picture-in-picture\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/open.spotify.com\/embed\/episode\/7v9yzMXHsgVjjwYoaIvM2Q\/video?si=KKFR64kFQMuofF9PHbMmcA&amp;utm_source=oembed\"><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cOne of the biggest challenges in a fast-moving and fast-growing company is how you grow the team very fast and in a way that will be aligned with the great business growth that we see,\u201d Braun told me. \u201cAt the same time, keeping the culture.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Noma is better positioned than most to understand this problem. Founded in 2023, the company has already raised $123 million, including a $100 million Series B, and works with some of the world\u2019s largest and most regulated enterprises. But the speed at which the company grows can be detrimental if not managed correctly. \u201cThe moment that you move in a quarter from 40 to 70 or 80 people,\u201d Braun added, \u201cit could completely change the dynamic of the company.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When I spoke to Braun, he described culture as being nurtured and defended through this growth, starting with the hiring process.&nbsp;\u201cSometimes we see the most amazing talents in all areas,\u201d he explained. \u201cBut we don\u2019t think that they\u2019re going to be completely aligned with the Noma culture. And this is why we think that it\u2019s not a good fit.\u201d It\u2019s not about ability ot background, but finding pieces that can glue together. \u201cI don\u2019t think that it\u2019s because we are better than them\u2026 I just think that there are two different puzzles,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>The Cultural Pillars For Success<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">That discipline is built around three cultural pillars. The first is what Braun calls a&nbsp;<em>winning mentality<\/em>. \u201cWinning mentality is the state of mind,\u201d he says. \u201cThey know how, in crunch time, to do the right thing, to take the right decisions under pressure.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The second is&nbsp;<em>radical ownership<\/em>. \u201cPeople that take a topic end to end,\u201d Braun said, describing a culture where engineers influence marketing, sales teams shape product strategy, and silos are actively discouraged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The third is an explicitly anti-blame environment. \u201cIt\u2019s super collaborative and anti-blaming culture,\u201d he concluded. Without it, Braun believes proactivity collapses, feedback shuts down, and growth becomes fragile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is particularly visible in how Noma handles failure. \u201cOn every POC that we lose,\u201d Braun explained, \u201cthere are going to be lesson learning about it. Again, it\u2019s not blaming, but it\u2019s true learning together.\u201d This environment isn\u2019t helped by softening disappointment, either. \u201cWe don\u2019t accept it,\u201d he adds. \u201cWe make sure that it doesn\u2019t happen, like never, again.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The AI era could see technology resetting or pivoting every few months, and Braun sees culture as one of the few durable advantages left. \u201cThis is the only way,\u201d he says, \u201cto scale together with this DNA.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Today, speed may get you noticed, and large funding rounds get you headlines.
