According to the organizers, Boubacar Jalloh of Microsoft won first place.

The second tournament was held in Las Vegas in August, around the time of the Black Hat and DEF CON cybersecurity conferences. CyTaka identifies Ethan Saunders of Rogue Credit Union as the winner.

The third tournament took place on October 23 at the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach. CyTaka says approximately 1,200 people applied to participate. The selection process, according to the organizers, combined cybersecurity challenges with personal interviews modeled on talent competition formats, intended to assess technical expertise, creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.

First place went to Evan Isaac, Senior Offensive Security Consultant at Optiv, while second place went to Peter Orzell, Senior Software Engineer and Security Researcher at Magic Leap.

Cyber Battles Between AI Agents

The central announcement at the Palm Beach event concerned CyTaka’s plans to incorporate autonomous artificial intelligence agents into future competition. According to Amir, the proposed format will require each competitor to develop and deploy two AI agents: one designed for offensive cybersecurity operations and another for defensive missions.

The company says the competition will focus on challenges involving communications and space-related technologies, including simulated satellite systems, communications infrastructure and other technological environments.

Under the proposed rules, the agents would operate in simulated cyber environments, identify threats, respond to opposing systems and carry out assigned missions. CyTaka says competitors would be evaluated on their own technical abilities as well as the autonomy, accuracy, creativity and reliability of the AI systems they develop.

Doron Amir Leads the America 250 Freedom Cyber & AI Championship in the USA and Introduces Cyber Warfare Between AI Agents for the First Time.

“We are entering a new era in which not only humans will compete in cybersecurity, but also artificial intelligence agents acting on their behalf. Our goal is to showcase the next generation of cyber warfare and demonstrate how AI is changing the rules of the game,” Amir said.

Testing AI Agents in Simulated Cyber Conflicts

Beyond the competitive element, CyTaka presents the proposed format as a way to explore cybersecurity challenges associated with the growing use of autonomous AI systems. As companies and public-sector organizations experiment with AI agents capable of performing tasks with varying degrees of independence, questions surrounding their reliability, security and behavior in adversarial environments have become increasingly relevant.

Amir believes competitions involving offensive and defensive AI agents could provide opportunities to examine how such systems perform under simulated cyber conflict conditions. According to CyTaka, the format is intended to encourage the development and testing of AI agents while drawing attention to the risks and technical challenges associated with their deployment.

A White House Championship

CyTaka’s longer-term ambitions include holding an America 250 Freedom Cyber & AI Championship in Washington, D.C. Amir has expressed hope that the necessary approvals could be obtained to stage the event at the White House as part of the 250th anniversary celebrations. The material supplied by the company does not establish that such approval has been granted.

Photo: Globus RD Media

According to Amir, the broader objective is to establish the World Cyber &
