The American philanthropist, businessman and JCS International\u2019s owner Ronald S. Lauder joined the Zero Discrimination movement, led on a global level by First Lady of the Republic of Panama and UNAIDS Special Ambassador for Latin America Lorena Castillo de Varela.<\/p>\n

The Zero Discrimination movement seeks to raise awareness about the harmful effects of discrimination and promote the rights everyone has to a full, dignified and productive life.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe First Lady Valera is a powerful advocate for the rights of children and it\u2019s a privilege to join her Zero Discrimination movement,\u201d said Ambassador Ronald S. Lauder. \u201cI look forward to many years of collaboration, particularly on the JCS International Young Creatives Award, which I am proud to sponsor.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lauder has served as President of the World Jewish Congress for over a decade. He is also a UN Women for Peace Association \u201cAmbassador of Peace\u201d; First Lady Valera was honored at UNWFPA\u2019s 2018 International Women\u2019s Day luncheon with the group\u2019s prestigious Leadership Award. Lauder joined the Zero Discrimination movement after learning about the First Lady\u2019s global work to guarantee human rights.<\/p>\n

The Zero Discrimination movement goes hand-in-hand with Panama\u2019s historic calling to promote dialogue, consensus, peace and human rights.<\/p>\n

During a private dinner in New York, Lauder learned about the efforts of the Laureados y L\u00edderes Por Los Ni\u00f1os organization to fully protect children\u2019s human rights. The event was also attended by the leadership of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, including Board Member and JCS International President Michal Grayevsky, who launched the JCS International Young Creatives Award with the International Academy. The award\u2019s 2018 theme is \u201cStand Up for Peace.\u201d<\/p>\n

Lauder expressed interest in the statement delivered to United Nations General Secretary Ant\u00f3nio Guterres, which called on the international community and the UN to double down on their efforts to preserve the rights of children\u2014particularly those who are workers and children\u2014and safeguard their access to education, nutrition, protection and physical and mental health.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
