Team8 has announced today (Monday) the appointment of Asaf Azulay as the Group’s incoming VP of Marketing. As part of his role, Asaf will be responsible for driving the marketing strategy of Team8 funds and portfolio companies across the Group, while also facilitating their promotion across a broad ecosystem of tech entrepreneurs and investors in Israel and around the globe. Asaf will transition from his current position of Chief Marketing Officer at Bank Hapoalim and join Team8 in Q2 of this year.
Team8 builds and invests in technology companies in the fields of cybersecurity, data, and fintech. The group’s unique foundry model is based on partnering with leading entrepreneurs to collaboratively identify industry-wide challenges and market opportunities, and leverages an in-house team of domain experts and more than 70 operators to build companies that are poised to redefine their industries.
In light of Team8’s company-building success, and in addition to its foundry model, the group has an investment arm focused on early stage (seed, A-round) companies. Team8 provides its portfolio companies with a wide range of services to accelerate their success, including marketing and go-to-market support.

Over the past five years, Azulay held the position of CMO for Bank Hapoalim where he led many of the bank’s marketing successes. In this capacity, he promoted Bank Hapoalim’s brand, while refreshing the bank’s media communication strategy. He also led the marketing and advertising strategy of Bit and helped raise the profile of Hapoalim HiTech. Azulay previously served as CEO of GITAM BBDO, a strategic consulting firm in Israel.
