During Cyber Week in Tel Aviv, a professional event, sponsored by cybersecurity firms Check Point and CyTaka, brought together 28 Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) from the UAE, and 12 more from Israel. The gathering, graced by dignitaries and delegations, featured notable figures such as H.E Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Head of the UAE’s Cybersecurity Council, and Oded Joseph, Director General for Middle Eastern Affairs at the Israeli Foreign Ministry.
Doron Amir, CEO of CyTaka, kickstarted the Israel UAE Cyber Security Alliance meeting, an event hosted at Check Point’s headquarters in Tel Aviv: “I’ve hosted cyber championships worldwide with top hackers from over 20 countries. The machine we developed cracks cyber challenges in a fifth of the time it took hackers to find a solution.
However, human creativity and breakthrough thinking still prevail over the machine. Our role as cybersecurity professionals is to sow the seeds for training more men and women in cybersecurity who will continue to champion positive cyber actions. Together with the machine, they will triumph over all negative cyber attacks on organizations and nations.”
At the event, Doron Amir and H.E Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti announced that they will soon hold a competition between humans and machines. This contest will involve security experts and an AI-integrated machine competing in the field of information and cybersecurity.
Innovation, Growth and Competitiveness
An agreement was also signed between EliteCiso and CyberTogether, aiming to represent the needs of the cybersecurity industry in Israel and globally.
The shared ambition of Israeli and Emirati cybersecurity experts is to amplify the innovation, growth, and competitiveness of the companies and organizations that form part of this consortium. Doron Amir responded positively to CyberTogether’s proposition to serve as the voluntary chairman of the Israel and UAE Cybersecurity Alliance. His role would be to act as a cybersecurity leader and visionary, fostering global activity in bridge-building between different nations, with a particular emphasis on promoting technological education and employment across a broad range of sectors worldwide.
Doron Amir promotes positive cyber values and has organized cybersecurity championships across the globe, including the World Cyber Championship in Dubai. Under Amir’s leadership, CyTaka became the first Israeli cyber company to receive approval from the Emirates Government to project their video series, ‘The Best In Cyber CyTaka’. This extraordinary spectacle took place on the world’s tallest building – the Burj Khalifa.
