
Iran Ceasefire: Civilian War Fatigue, Military Gains, Absent Allies
After 30 months of warfare, public exhaustion is understandable. The problem begins when ending the war replaces achieving its objectives, or worse, becomes a reflexive opposition to government. The war has not achieved all its objectives, but it certainly inflicted damage that is difficult to overstate, both on the Iranian regime and on the broader China–Russia axis
