“I believe that, as humans, we are meant to do more than spend 40 years of our lives working at a 9-5 job”, says Austin Zelan. He is an American entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist. His biggest focus is on the creation of passive income in order to help people realize their true potential and maximize their impact on the world around them.
By strategically positioning themselves in the market, investors can often find new and unique opportunities to invest in alternative assets. Zelan focuses mostly on large-scale physical assets industries such as multi-family real estate, aviation, and others.
He believes that having the right acquisition strategy for these assets ensures that the investors are in a safe place even if market conditions change. The only way to really lose with these investments is if they stop being operational and can no longer generate cashflow, or if the market shifts in a way that causes expenses to be higher than revenue.
The Purpose of Life
Born in Renton, Washington, Zelan loved going to school, soaking every opportunity to learn and grow. He started his career as a consultant at Microsoft before he realized his life purpose – to have a positive impact on the people around him and help others. This revelation was the motivation Zelan needed to take a new path.
“The first time I truly realized that it was possible to live off investment income alone was when I started investing in alternative investments like oil wells, real estate, and more. I quickly realized that if I was able to develop my investing skillset, I would finally be free from my job”.
With this new goal in mind, Zelan’s first step was to learn how to invest: “I’ve spent thousands of hours mastering my craft and after many months of trial and error, I finally reached a point where I was able to generate investment returns consistently,” he explains.
“Once I had a base income coming in from my investments, I began to diversify both internally within each asset class, and externally in unrelated sectors. This gave me a balanced portfolio that performed year after year. My focus has always been on alternative investments because of their potential to return 50-100% annually”.

Educating Investors
Today, Zelan consistently holds conferences around the United States to educate investors on how to go through the process of investment discovery and optimization. He finds that some of his best partnerships come from Israel and he has made it a priority to continue expanding and growing his impact in partnership with the Israeli people. “I love the people of Israel because they are so quick to identify opportunities in the open market. We have a lot to learn from their way of thinking,” he says.
He hopes to soon open a headquarters in Tel Aviv and host investor conferences in Israel for those that want to learn about investing. “Israel has some of the sharpest tech investors in the world and I love partnering with them when it comes to new technology”.
Zelan has made it his life’s focus to help educate and raise leaders in the financial space. He shares that he is very specific about the type of people that he works with. “Money simply magnifies who the person already is on the inside,” Zelan explains, “so when I find good-hearted people who are genuine and authentic, I work with them to help them achieve financial freedom so they can have a more positive impact on the world around them”.

Investment Strategy
In the near future, Austin looks forward to expanding his investment strategy even further and investing in early-stage start-ups and projects that he believes will have a large impact on the world. By investing time and money into these projects, he believes that he can help drive a positive impact in those industries and use those tools to give more opportunities to people.
Austin shares, “The people of Israel are a great group of people to work with on investments because of how they tend to think when it comes to investing. They can often spot the opportunity before it even arises and that is what makes them such great investors. I have worked in a consultative position for Israeli financial firms in the past and I look forward to increased partnership with them in the future.”
“The world would not be where it is today without the nation of Israel”, he adds.
As technology continues to evolve, Zelan looks for ways to leverage that technology and help investors get an advantage in the market. That advantage can be something as simple as increased confidence in their investing, but that increase in confidence can be all that’s needed to break into profitability.
